Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping processes to ensure accurate and comprehensive identification of IT assets, services, and dependencies.
  • Understand requirements and develop code adhering to client’s coding standard.
  • Implement and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information about CIs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve data synchronization and reconciliation issues within the CMDB.
  • Customize ServiceNow using JavaScript, Angular, and other web technologies to enhance the discovery and CMDB capabilities.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems through REST API, SOAP API, and other integration methods.
  • Monitor the discovery and CMDB processes to identify and rectify any performance or data quality issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and enhancements related to discovery and CMDB, recommending and implementing improvements to optimize the process.
  • Highlight any issues and / or risks in a timely manner and Daily status reporting to stakeholders.

Requirements:

Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills to get the eligibility of their profile assessed. The must have requirements are:

  • 4+ Years of experience with (CMDB, Discovery, Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management) implementations.
  • Must have experience with building Custom Applications in ServiceNow.
  • Expertise with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Scripts, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Policies, etc.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML and ServiceNow Glide API s.
  • Advanced scripting of business rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, etc
  • Provide hands-on development to include creation, configuration, and customization of patterns, Discovery Schedules, Event rules, application fields, from design, business rules, client scripts, user roles and groups, access controls, and more on the various system applications.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining custom patterns, probes, sensors, and schedules for ServiceNow Discovery.
  • Understand Credential less and Credential based Discovery.
  • Experience in integrating ServiceNow ITOM modules with a variety of enterprise monitoring tools, automation of alerts, application management tools using off-shelf plugins and API methods.
  • Experience in using ServiceNow plugins, such as MID Server, Pattern Designer, and Service Graph Connector.
  • Develop integrations to existing IT Operations Management (ITOM) tools using ServiceNow workflows, scripting, and web services/REST APIs as required.
  • Experience with Integrating ServiceNow Applications with third party applications including cloud applications (AWS).
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT operations management concepts.
  • Familiar with ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and documentation.
  • Good customer facing skills and good at communication.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certified.
